Privacy Policy

Surge: Interval & Boxing Timer ("the App") is an interval workout timer developed by Nixes ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how the App handles your data.

The short version: we collect nothing. Surge has no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no server of ours that your data could be sent to. Everything the App knows stays on your device.

1. Data We Collect

None. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data off your device. We cannot see your workouts, your health data, or anything else about you.

2. Workout Data

Your workouts, workout history, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device. Deleting the App deletes this data.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you enable Sync with Apple Health, the App:

• Reads heart rate and active energy (calorie) samples recorded by your watch or other devices, solely to display per-workout and per-round statistics inside the App.
• Writes your completed interval workouts to Apple Health so they appear in your Health and Fitness apps.

All Health data is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party, never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never used for any purpose other than displaying your own statistics to you. You can revoke the App's Health access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, and you can turn the feature off inside the App.

4. Purchases

The optional Surge Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Purchases can be restored through your Apple account.

5. Notifications

If you enable Smartwatch Alerts, the App schedules local notifications on your device to mark interval changes. No notification data is sent to any server, and no push-notification service is used.

6. Third Parties

The App contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising networks, and no analytics services. We do not share data with anyone — because we have none to share.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes (such as introducing any data collection) would also be reflected in the App's App Store privacy label.
